A friend's wedding
We attended the wedding of a friend of mine yesterday. I thought I was asking for trouble bringing an (almost) 6-month old to a wedding, but he did great! He was a little wiggly during the ceremony, but mostly quiet. He was cheery throughout the reception and let many people hold him. Here's a cute pic of my friend Kelly holding him at the reception.

First food
Well, I gave in! I was waiting until 6 months to start the circus of solid feeding. But he's so hungry, I decided to go ahead. He was crying at daycare after finishing his 5-oz bottles, so I upped it to 6-oz (3 bottles at daycare) and he was happy as can be! He is drinking every drop of milk I make and would probably take more.
Here are some pictures from his first rice cereal feeding. Once he figured out it was good (made with milk) and fun (mama makes funny sounds while feeding) he really liked it!

Leo IV is 5 months old!
Wow, 5 months. Feels like I was just in the hospital yesterday. Yet, I can hardly remember when little Leo wasn't a part of our lives. Every moment is exciting, especially now that he is interacting with us and practicing new skills.
-He rolls over to his tummy as soon as we lay him down and kicks and flails like he wants to go somewhere!
-He can lean forward to sit up (assisted) when he is laying back against your chest/tummy.
-He kisses us on the cheek when we pick him up (big open mouth against the cheek and grabs the back of my head with his hands).
-He laughs all the time when we play with and tickle him.
-He's in 12 month clothes!!
-Oh, and he is REALLY interested in solid foods. He watches it go into your mouth and back to the plate. He knows it's something good!
-Still sleeping pretty well though we had some rough nights with the 2 colds he's had so far. He sleeps about 10 hours straight, eats, then goes back to bed for another hour or two!.jpg)
